Plyconic at CourtX

This summer we are delighted to have artworks by Plyconic on display at the Pavilion for CourtX’s art initiative Rotate.

About Plyconic

Plyconic, is an east London design studio with a passion for brutalist architecture and plywood.

Building depth and visual intrigue by layering intricately cut plywood to create abstract and architectural inspired pictures.

Each ply layer disrupts the grain of the one below, creating a rhythmic interplay of patterns. This interplay of the natural ply patterns, infuses the artworks with a sense of serenity and connection to nature.

In 2023 Plyconic had a successful solo exhibition at The Modernist Society and was featured in The Guardian’s spotlight artist section The Grid.

The artwork on display at CourtX consists of Plyconic’s artwork from the past 2 years. It covers the brutalist architecture of London’s Southbank to the modernist architecture of Manchester, as well as newer abstract pieces.
